In our 6th annual festival, we have a lineup of fascinating events. The festival begins with an opening concert with our chamber choir, which we will be hearing the chamber organ that has recently been moved into our cathedral earlier this year, for the first time in performance. We have invited organists from France and Spain to perform on our historical Elliot - Jones organ, We have also included a childrens’ workshop, instrumental recitals, and the world premiere of a piece commissioned for this festival showcasing both the trumpet and organ.

We are also happy to bring back the art of organ improvisation over a silent movie into the heart of Waterford City.

Carefully crafted, repaired and maintained by organ builders, the songs and melodies of the Elliot Jones organ is relevant 200 years ago as it is today, standing proud on its altar at the back of this beautiful cathedral. Where historical instruments meets our modern times, it all comes down to creativity, the individual voice and skilled hands of performers that breathes new life into these performances.
